Hiya folks ,

The Celestron Nextstar 4se - fully computerised go-to scope actually finds any target in its database and tracks it automatically for you for long exposure astrophotography
It even polar aligns its self automatically , no more hours spend to calibrate you're scope!
Now all i need is a decent camera!!LOL![]()

Damn, what does one of those set you back?
I can see myself getting into a new hobby!
fuck yea mr m ,i love the stars i am pretty sure ive told you that before.......lucky i live some where ,where on a clear night you can see every star in the sky as far as the naked eye can see.......no light polution, saw last week two shooting stars with one of them appearing to behind a close second ....pretty much in the same spot when i was 14 witnessed a full on shooting star fest on news years eve.....and one of my past time is reading up on space ,stephen hawkings (some may laugh but he is a very inteligent man and puts some of the best theorys out there on things in my opinion)look up his theory on human space travel.........so if you like mr m100 make up a thread about space and ill be happy to post all stuff space ..........this link is for the gamers, the trekkys (doubt if there are any here...i am a bit of a starwars nut not in the nerdy way just think it kicks as not the prequels)and the movie buffs here it is ...https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alpha_Centauri_in_fiction
The actual scope will only set you back a grand and has a data base of over 2000 objects and is fully automatic "go-to" which means you just select an object from the data -base say for instance M100 (ha ha) and the scope will automatically find that object and accurately auto- track for up to 2 hours great for long exposure astrophotography
Won scope of the year in 20013- only problem is the CCD camera's can run awful expressive in excess of 5k for entry models for quality deep images , thankfully Meade have released their latest offering the Meade DSI PRO III
which will set you back a fraction of the cost @ below entry price for a grand and taking deep space images like a pro in days
The scope will even auto "polar align " it self and the imaging software virtually does all the work for you- only thing you have to worry about are those cloudy nights!! LOL
